Plain English

When you use our Get Matched product and ultimately transact with one of the programs on the Site, the program may pay us a referral fee. Our referral fees are structured so that the direction of a single match doesn't change our revenue — within each product category, every program pays us the same per-closed-transaction fee.

This disclosure exists so you can independently weigh whether any of our reviews could be colored by financial interest. Our position is that they aren't, for the reasons explained on the revenue page, but the disclosure is the standard and we meet it.

Programs with referral relationships (as of April 2026)

Programs with no referral relationship

We cover (and occasionally reference) other programs in our editorial content that are not in Get Matched because they don't meet our minimum transparency bar, don't operate in enough states to be useful to most readers, or we couldn't reach a commercial agreement with. We do not name these programs in this disclosure because naming them here could be read as a negative endorsement.

Advertising relationships

Programs currently running display advertising on the Site (separate from referrals): Zoom Casa, HomeLight, Homeward, Opendoor. Ads are labeled “Sponsored” and do not influence ratings, rankings, or Get Matched placements.

What we don't do

How to verify independence

The proof isn't in this disclosure — it's in the ratings. Compare our rankings to programs' advertising spend with us (available on request via press@cashoffercomparison.com, for credentialed journalists) and you'll find no correlation. Our lowest-ranked partner is a paying referral partner; our highest-ranked is also a paying referral partner. The rankings are driven by our methodology, not by who pays us most.

How we handle changes

When a new program enters or exits our referral system, we update this disclosure within 30 days. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the last change.
